Later, the LPSC will likely go into Executive Session to discuss the Grand Gulf litigation at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and we're optimistic that our regulators are going to fight for the refunds Louisiana ratepayers need!
After a 13 year process, the Louisiana Public Service Commission voted 3-2 to approve a Final Rule with a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) model to administer robust statewide energy efficiency programs.
The Chair and Vice Chair positions will lead the LPSC meetings and represent the LPSC for 2024, while the Representatives for OMS, ERSC, and SPP will represent the LPSC in those respective policy tables. When it comes to OMS, ERSC and SPP we’ll need a Commissioner that understands the value of transmission.

Someone else needs to step up once in a while and it’s about time you stood up for yourself. Solar and wind are just sitting over there! Not to mention energy efficiency, poor guy, no one even realizes his potential.

We encourage the Commission to continue to seek information about emerging technologies outside the context of utility applications. It is tempting to imagine switching one fuel for another as a short-cut to energy transition and decarbonization, but regulators should not be expected to approve technology based on speculation. Nor should regulators accept that hydrogen can affordably reduce carbon emissions and other harmful pollution.
