After a special session on Monday, March 28th, the Louisiana Public Service Commission voted to approve the sale of Cleco to Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets for $ 4.9 billion. On March 16th Mayor Landrieu urged the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority to address both the causes and the effects of climate change, which he described as an “existential threat” to the city.
