Life City has an initiative called Love Your City. Love Your City is a platform, a community development software tool, to help any community accelerate sustainability in their city. The Love Your City awards are being kicked off this year with the Zero Waste Challenge on Monday, November 15th - America Recycles Day.

They have a fantastic lineup of speakers and activities that will highlight the Zero Waste Challenge and the importance of making this an opportunity to reduce our community's waste!

The event will be held at the Southern Food & Beverage Museum starting at 3pm CST. The event will kick off with Zero Waste Trash Talks - TEDX style, featuring expert recyclers and companies who've accomplished Zero Waste strategies at their place of business.

At 5:30pm hear from a panel that will talk more about the state of trash. The discussion will focus on lessons from waste after Hurricane Ida: Where do we go from here? Panelists will touch on not just how we live and produce trash, but also how we can envision a better system.
