In a year of rising costs we know many Louisianans are feeling the weight of their power bills more than ever. Through it all, The Alliance has worked tirelessly to advocate for residents’ needs at the Louisiana Public Service Commission, New Orleans City Council, and State Legislature.
We’re intervened in over 18 dockets fighting for energy solutions that prioritize affordability, reliability, and equity. But some of our favorite moments this year have been when we get to be out in the community with you, at our Candidate Forum, our Bill Clinic, EFNO’s Light is Your Right events, or even on zoom and the phone! Learn more about what we’ve been advocating for —and what decisions our regulators have been making about our power bills— on our blog, The Watchdog.
Even as we make progress, the road to truly affordable, reliable energy remains long. Outdated infrastructure, extreme weather, overreliance on natural gas, and high energy costs continue to affect Louisiana families every day. That’s why we need your help this GivingTuesday!
For nearly four decades, your support has fueled real change. Together, we can continue to be a light in the dark, ensuring that every Louisianan has a voice, a safe home, and an affordable energy bill.
Here are some photos from our favorite memories with the community this year.

GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
