Utility Bill Assistance for New Orleans Residents

On Wednesday, July 8 and Thursday, July 9 the City Council Utilities Support Electric Assistance Fund will be providing relief up to $500 to Orleans Parish residents feeling the strain from their past due electricity bills.

Total Community Action (TCA)  will be accepting applications at 1416 S. Norman C. Francis Parkway, New Orleans, LA 70125 between 8:30am to 4:30pm. Though residents who have already received ARPA Utility Arrearage Assistance are ineligible for aid, residents who have received standard LIHEAP assistance may still qualify. Please Note

Funds are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. TCA’s standard LIHEAP energy assistance services will be paused from July 8 to July 10, 2026 and will resume on Monday, July 13, 2026.
