The title “Clean Air Act” is incredibly misleading- for 50 years this Act has allowed companies to legally release some of the most carcinogenic, mutogenic, hazardous, and harmful pollutants. Rather than keep pollutants out of our air, water, land, and bodies, the laws as written enable legal pollution by merely requiring companies to self-report emissions.
