Later this year, the LPSC is being asked to give final expedited approval to Entergy’s proposal to build seven new gas-fired power plants and a new transmission line to provide an unknown amount of power to Meta’s new A.I. data center near Monroe.

The Commission has been generous in granting Entergy and Meta’s requests, keeping crucial information about how many jobs the project will generate and how much power it needs from the public.
