Here’s what we’re watching.

Exhibit 3: SWEPCO IRP

The Commission is finally poised to accept LPSC Staff’s recommendation for approval. While we have concerns about the planning process, we’re interested in seeing this finalized.

What is an IRP?

Exhibit 6: Southern Spirit Transmission Line potential for rehearing

This transmission line would support renewable energy from Texas to Mississippi and could potentially bring more renewable energy to LA in the future. The Commission approved this in August, but there’s a petition to rehear that decision.

The big two: Exhibit 11 & 12

The Commission is poised to hire legal and technical support for Entergy’s new application for a large gas plant in Northern LA to service only one customer.

We’ve got a lot of questions regarding cost allocation, but also concerns about how much this has been fast-tracked. Interventions are due on November 18th if folks want to jump in! Commissioner Campbell also has a Directive on the agenda about this docket so we’ll be watching closely how this unfolds.
