Public Comment Opportunities
The Louisiana Public Service Commission (LPSC) is meeting tomorrow, February 21, at 9am in Baton Rouge. We encourage folks who can to join us in Baton Rouge, but if you can’t make it in person tomorrow for the meeting, you can always tune in on Youtube at tinyurl.com/LPSCyoutube.

Both Cleco and Entergy Louisiana’s Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) are on the agenda, and we expect some good questions from the Commissioners! We’re going to be watching out for questions regarding new generation in favor of transmission and Cleco’s plan for Diamond Vault, the proposed carbon capture & sequestration (CCS) facility in Rapides Parish.

Later, the LPSC will likely go into Executive Session to discuss the Grand Gulf litigation at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and we’re optimistic that our regulators are going to fight for the refunds Louisiana ratepayers need!

What: Louisiana Public Service Commission Monthly Meeting
When: February 21, 2024 at 9am
Where: The Galvez Building, 1st Floor Natchez Room, 603 North Fifth Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802

While you must attend the meeting in person to submit public comment, that’s why The Alliance exists. We know most people don’t have the time or energy to go to obscure meetings like these and, while it’s critical that your voice is heard, know that AAE will be advocating on your behalf and behalf of all Louisianans at LPSC meetings.
