The Alliance’s Position: Make an Informed Vote

Democracy & Elections

The Alliance for Affordable Energy is a 501c3, non-profit organization and therefore does not endorse political candidates campaigning for any seat.

In 2016, the Alliance provided one of the candidates currently running for office with an award, however this does not imply that we endorsed him then or now, nor any other candidates in the present race for the Louisiana Public Service Commission.

The Alliance’s role is to educate, not endorse.

We encourage all voters to attend our upcoming District 4 forum on October 12 in Pineville and District 3 forum on October 20 in New Orleans to learn where each of the candidates stand on the issues that are important to Louisiana voters today.

We urge everyone to learn about the importance of the Public Service Commission, and insist on transparency and answers from candidates asking for your vote.

The Alliance is spending this election season offering all candidates an opportunity to present their vision for Louisiana to the public, offering teach-ins about the Commission’s work,  plus we’ve laid out the issues we believe that candidates and voters should be thinking about this fall.

These Commission terms last six years.  Six years of utility bills, storms, and policies that impact your air and water.

What is your vision for the next six years in Louisiana? How will you use your power?
