Every year the E Source Women’s Group spearheads charity initiatives to support the community. While giving back is important all year-round, the winter holidays always bring a boosted spirit of giving. We’re proud to support organizations that work hard to improve the lives of others. Previously, we’ve stayed local to Boulder, Colorado, and partnered with organizations such as There With Care to supply gifts to a low-income family and Crayons to Calculators to help distribute backpacks full of supplies to students in need.

While giving back is important all year-round, the winter holidays always bring a boosted spirit of giving. We’re proud to support organizations that work hard to improve the lives of others.

This year, we wanted to support more of the communities we work and reside in, so we chose organizations in the states where we have offices. Namely Alabama, Colorado, Louisiana, and New York. We also decided on a cause that’s near and dear to our hearts—equitable energy efficiency.

Together with its employees, E Source donated nearly $10,000 to the following organizations with energy assistance missions for low-income customers and customers struggling to pay their utility bills.

Energy Alabama aims to accelerate Alabama’s transition to sustainable energy. The organization works tirelessly to accomplish this by educating its community, stopping policies and laws that block the deployment of sustainable energy, and providing assistance to improve energy efficiency in buildings and homes. We’re pleased that our donation will go toward supporting sustainable energy in Alabama through education, professional development for teachers, advocacy, and facilitating projects that put more sustainable energy on the ground.

Energy Outreach Colorado encourages supporters to “help your neighbors afford their energy costs.” Energy Outreach Colorado provides immediate emergency support to help get people in the community get back on their feet. The organization also provides energy-efficiency upgrades to homes and educates the community to guide residents toward energy security. We’re proud to donate to the cause and help community members struggling to pay their energy bills.

The Alliance for Affordable Energy (AAE) has a mission to “safeguard Louisiana’s future by protecting consumers’ right to an equitable, affordable and environmentally responsible energy system,” and we couldn’t support that more! Donations help AAE ensure equitable, affordable, and environmentally responsible energy policy for all Louisiana energy consumers.

HeartShare Human Services of New York “uplifts low-income families throughout New York State. In partnership with utility companies, elected officials and community organizations, HeartShare helps people experiencing poverty handle utility costs and educates the public about what this group needs to stay safe and healthy.” We’re delighted to contribute to the organization’s Project Share initiative, which drives energy assistance and community development efforts.
