The Alliance is a big supporter of Energy Smart, the program run by the New Orleans City Council to make energy efficiency even more appealing to the community. Among the different ways that Energy Smart can help you save energy (and money!) is with their solar water heater pilot which allows the sun to heat all of the hot water that you use at home.

Solar energy prices are dropping and experts are predicting that solar energy will finally begin to catch up to wind and nuclear power as common sources of energy.
