The Alliance will also offer a raffle for a chance to win prizes donated by local businesses including the New Orleans Museum of Art, Faubourg Brewery, Flemings Steakhouse, ShakeShake, the Cheesecake Factory, Winn-dixie, and Trader Joe’s.
The Alliance hosts this free event every year to bring together the people and organizations working to make energy systems in Louisiana more equitable, affordable, and environmentally responsible.
We’re encouraged by the progress we’ve made in collaboration with our allies advocating for better programs to alleviate ratepayers’ energy burdens, including more aggressive deployment of energy efficiency, creating a local carveout under the Renewable and Clean Portfolio Standard, strengthening reliability standards, adopting a citywide arrearage management program, fixing the broken bill dispute process, and amending the Community Solar Rules to create real incentive for local solar development.
