Lisa Brown is a the current administrative assistant for Alliance for Affordable Energy. They are a black queer pangender advocate, clinician, researcher, and mentor. Lisa Prioritizes efforts of accessibility and equity for individuals of marginalized communities throughout their work.
Lisa is also a sixth-year student in Purdue University’s Clinical Psychology PhD program where they are currently mentored by Dr. Dan Foti and Dr. David Rollock. They bring a rich array of experiences to the Alliance for Affordable Energy; notably, They received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Spelman College. In addition, they received a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Purdue University. Lisa’s current program of research contains three foci: psychosis, neurophysiological methods: primarily EEG, and racial and gender diversity utilizing a multiple minority stress framework to improve the generalizability of clinical neuroscience findings in psychotic disorders particularly as it relates to demographic factors of age, race, gender socioeconomic status, and ethnicity.
Lisa’s prior experiences professionally and graduate studies lend themselves to their passion for affordable energy through the lens of accessibility and justice within systems throughout New Orleans, and Louisiana more broadly.
