Emma Meyerkopf

Communications Manager

Emma Meyerkopf started with The Alliance as an intern during her senior year at Tulane. While Emma has been interested in environmental issues since high school, it was through her internship with The Alliance that she gained a greater understanding of how energy and the environment intersect. While she was initially pursuing public policy at Tulane, she quickly realized she had greater interest in outward facing work that engages the public.

Starting as a researcher, then joining part time as a Media & Admin Consultant, Emma now serves as The Alliance’s Communications Manager. She likes to think of herself as a bridge between the technical policy work AAE does and the public.

A lifelong New Yorker, Tulane drew her down to New Orleans in 2015 for school, and ever since then she has fallen in love with the city. From the food to the live music and culture, Emma has enjoyed discovering all New Orleans has to offer. In her free time she enjoys kayaking in City Park & on the bayou, watching basketball, hiking and skiing.

She moved back to NYC to be closer to her family during the pandemic, but looks forward to her frequent visits to New Orleans. Emma is excited to be part of the AAE team and is eager to help The Alliance continue to thrive and grow its reach.
