Frederick Bell Jr. is a community organizer whose path began in the wake of Trayvon Martin’s murder and was further galvanized by the murder of Mike Brown. He founded a Black book club to create a space for radical political education and, in 2020, co-founded the Black Praxis Project, a virtual freedom school focused on Black radical texts. He has contributed to national student debt cancellation advocacy, with his work featured in Teen Vogue and The New York Times.
