ACEE Provides Guidance on Energy Efficiency in Louisiana

The American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy ( http://aceee.org/ )  has announced that it will be releasing an in-depth report on opportunities for energy efficiency in the state of Louisiana and suggestions for program design and implimentation. ​

The ACEEE will use this report to help guide the LPSC and New Orleans City Council in developing its future energy efficiency plans. At a recent City Council meeting, the ACEEE distributed a report in which it presented energy efficiency as a low-cost, low-risk resource. The report estimates that if all electricity utilities in the state of Louisiana scale to 1% savings per year for 10 years, the potential for net electricity bill savings is around $1.3 billion.
