Jonathan Patterson (JP)

Jonathan Patterson (JP) had a rocky adolescence, and was in and out of jail before he found the LA Green Corps.  He was always a leader, though, and as a Corpsmember JP began to lead in a positive way.  JP has a knack for construction, and briefly even became the Junior Crewleader in Ms. Amber's crew.  While he has learned many green job skills, he also took advantage of the other opportunities provided by the Corps.  JP has worked hard to improve his literacy and to prep for the GED. 

This summer, the Green Corps ran a summer program for high school students.  Because he is a positive role model and his committment to the community, the Corps hired JP on as an Assistant Crew Leader.  It was a positive experience for all involved.  The sky's the limit, but JP hopes to find a career in the green building trades.
