Retrofit Old Windows

ISSUE:

OLD WINDOWS ARE INEFFICIENT AND RAISE ENERGY COSTS. Cracks, holes, and single paned glass allow for air exchange and unwanted solar heat gain through the windows. These can raise temperatures within a house, causing the air conditioner to work harder, consuming unnecessary resources, and costing more for the homeowner.

ENERGY SAVINGS. Preventing air and water from entering the house through windows makes the indoor air more stable in temperature and cleanliness, and prevents mildew and mold from forming. It will help to reduce the amount of money and energy spent on air conditioning or heating.

PRODUCTS:

LOW-EMISSIVITY FILM. Insulating window films can reduce heat and glare by more than half. The film's inner layer, the low-emissivity coating, is composed of a microscopically thin layer of metal. The product has a slight tint, but it is barely noticeable when applied to window glass. You can install it yourself or hire a professional. These films can last ten years or more, and removal solutions are available that dissolve the adhesive without damaging the window. The film also makes the window more shatter-resistant. When looking for a low-E film, compare the shading coefficient on different products, as not all of them block the same amount of heat and glare.

MAGNETITE WINDOWS are mounted and sealed using an air-tight magnetic seal attached to an acrylic panel inside of your window. They can be fitted to almost any type of window and blend with any decor. This doubles the thickness of glass and seals edges.
