Low Flow Showerhead

ISSUE:
The average American household uses at least 30 gallons of water in a 5-minute shower, adding up to about 22% of the water used in is from the shower. Low-flow showerheads add air to the water pressure, creating a high velocity spray, while only having a flow rate of 2.5 gallons per minute (gpm) or less. Installing a high-efficiency showerhead and faucet aerator together will save about 7,800 gallons of water per year in an average household. The amount saved from wasted water heating energy cuts about 376 pounds of climate-changing carbon dioxide emission each year. These showerheads can be inexpensive and easily installed.
