Aerated Autoclaved Concrete

ISSUE:
Aerated autoclaved concrete is comparable to a concrete masonry unit (CMU) as a structural building material. It’s made from all natural raw materials: cement, lime, silica sand, or recycled fly ash, water, and aluminum powder or paste. It is an economical and sustainable solid block that provides thermal and acoustic insulation and can be used as a load bearing material. It makes it a more energy efficient choice compared to concrete, yet is much more lightweight. During its manufacturing process, there is no generation of pollutants or hazardous waste and stays a non-toxic, airtight material when fully processed. It can even be recycled. It’s also naturally fire, termite, and fungal resistant.
